Exact URL
The submission is a public Shopify /products/ page, not a store, collection or marketplace URL.
One-time price
The ordinary purchase price is distinguishable from subscriptions, compare-at prices and other offers.
Currency
The price keeps the currency presented by the store; RivalScraper does not convert it.
Store-reported stock
The page provides a coherent in-stock or out-of-stock signal for the checked product.

Unknown beats wrong
A price tracker is harmful when it turns uncertainty into a confident alert. If the page cannot support the exact meaning of a price or stock state, RivalScraper returns a limited result instead of filling the gap with an estimate.
Rejected rather than guessed
- Subscription-only prices presented without a clear one-time offer
- Pre-orders presented as ordinary available stock
- Ambiguous or missing stock evidence
- Impossible prices or conflicting page evidence
- Blocked pages and possibly incomplete product data
Why Shopify pages need these checks
Shopify's own documentation describes variant price ranges, compare-at prices and a field for products that require a selling plan. It also notes that variants can carry their own price and inventory details. Those distinctions are why a number alone is not enough evidence for an exact competitor price.

Is the Shopify competitor price check free?
Yes. The compatibility check is free, read-only and does not require an account. It checks one exact public Shopify product URL and does not create a monitor.
What does a compatible result mean?
It means the checked page supplied coherent evidence for the exact URL, displayed one-time price, currency and store-reported stock at that moment. It is not a promise that every page on the store is compatible.
Why does RivalScraper reject some prices?
A plausible number can still have the wrong meaning. RivalScraper rejects subscription-only offers, pre-orders, ambiguous stock, impossible values, blocked pages and incomplete products instead of recording a guess.
Can I start monitoring after the check?
Not automatically. Monitored signup remains closed during early access until the reliability gate passes. A compatibility result is evidence about one page, not an active monitor.
