A July 2026 read-only benchmark found that bulk catalogue prices can differ from exact product-page promotions. Amazon and eBay also failed, while generic category pages produced false positives. The offer was narrowed to exact Shopify product pages accordingly.

What does RivalScraper monitor?
The current focused product monitors the displayed price and store-reported stock of exact compatible Shopify product pages. It does not promise store-wide, Amazon, eBay, WooCommerce, SEO, social, review, or ad monitoring.
What happens when a check is uncertain?
The observation is rejected before it reaches price history or alerts. Missing stock data stays unknown; it is never changed to in stock or out of stock.
Can I start a monitored trial now?
Not yet. The read-only compatibility check is open, but new monitors remain closed until the seven-day reliability canary passes.
Does every Shopify store work?
No. The URL must be an exact public product page, and some stores block or omit required evidence. RivalScraper refuses pages whose price and stock cannot be trusted.
